Research Assistant in the Research group of Monogastric Animal Nutrition and Feeding Department of Veterinary and Animal Sciences

We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic research assistant for an 12-month position, to commence from the beginning of 2027.

The research assistant will be involved in research projects within pig nutrition with special focus on feed utilization, intact male production, milk production, body mobilization, and piglet growth and survival.

Job description
The research assistant will be involved in field trials including sampling of milk, urine, tissues and blood, data analyses and literature reviews. The work will include study design, data collection, laboratory work, data analysis and research publication and dissemination.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic scientist with the following competencies and experience:

Essential experience and skills:

• You have a master’s degree in animal science or veterinary science
• You have a driver's license
• You hold a Laboratory Animal Science Function AD license to participate in animal experiments
• You have an active interest in pig nutrition, health and welfare
• You have an active interest performing field studies in pig farms
• You have an active interest performing data analyses
• You have an active interest performing literature reviews
• Proficient communication skills and ability to work in teams
• English skills written and spoken

Terms of employment

The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.

Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.

Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
