Technical Alliance Manager

Keepit

From Teamtailor

Every partnership starts with one technical question: will this work? We are creating a brand-new role to answer it. As Technical Alliance Manager, you will lead the technical side of partner discovery across OEM, AI and MCP, platform, technology and compliance alliances, and build how technical scoping works at Keepit.

About the role

Your job is to be the technical authority in our partner conversations. You will assess partner architectures, scope what we can integrate, and protect Product from unqualified work by flagging non-standard requests early.

Team and scope

This role reports to the SVP, Ecosystem & Strategic Growth, and sits in our alliance team. You will work closely with the Ecosystem Development Manager and Product. The role is based in Europe, at one of our offices or remote.

You will:
  • Lead technical discovery for partner engagements: assess partner architecture, review API and integration documentation, and evaluate fit against Keepit's current capabilities.

  • Decide whether a partner request is standard or non-standard, scope the technical side of the Technical Addendum, and hand over a technical scoping note with every signed addendum, so Product gets a clear, pre-qualified view of committed scope.

  • Escalate non-standard requests to Product for a feasibility conversation before any external commitment, and document the outcome so addenda and partner communications reflect only Product-approved scope.

  • Support technical conversations across OEM and embedded, AI and MCP, platform ecosystem (ServiceNow, Microsoft, Salesforce, Atlassian), compliance and GRC, and SIEM, EDR and DSPM partners.

  • Join GSI and enterprise discovery calls to understand how customers integrate AI agents and data platforms, and bring those findings to Product.

  • Work with alliance leadership and the Ecosystem Development Managers to evaluate new integration and revenue opportunities.

  • Join partner meetings that need technical depth, translate Keepit's capabilities into clear, accurate partner narratives, and keep partner expectations on scope, timeline and capability realistic.

About you
Must-haves:
  • 4 to 8 years in technical alliance management, solutions engineering or pre-sales engineering in a SaaS or cloud infrastructure environment.

  • Proven ability to assess partner or customer architectures and judge API and integration feasibility independently.

  • Experience producing technical scoping documents, SOWs or technical addenda in a partner- or customer-facing context.

  • Sound technical judgment, including in situations you have not seen before, and the ability to spot when a request exceeds current product scope and manage the conversation that follows with clarity.

  • Strong communication skills, from partner CTOs and engineering leads to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Working knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks and SaaS integration patterns at design and scoping level.

  • Hands-on experience building software or integrations, with an intuitive sense of which problems are simple to solve and which are hard.

Nice-to-haves:
  • Background in data protection, backup, cybersecurity or cloud infrastructure.

  • Familiarity with the Model Context Protocol or AI platform integration patterns.

  • Experience supporting SIEM, EDR, DSPM or GRC integration conversations.

  • Experience in a company scaling a partner or technology alliance program from early stage to a structured portfolio.

About the team

Over 25,000 companies trust Keepit to protect their SaaS data, and every one of them reaches us through a partner. This team exists to make that partner network bigger, deeper, and smarter.

We are a new Ecosystem and Strategic Growth team, built from scratch to put Keepit inside the platforms, software, and AI ecosystems our customers already rely on. We work on OEM and technology alliances, AI and MCP ecosystems, compliance, connectors, and partner-led growth, alongside colleagues focused on global system integrators and new regions.

The timing is good. In August we launched AI Truth Cloud, our vision of the sovereign source of truth that enterprise AI can safely build on, and partners are how that vision reaches customers. Much of this work has no playbook yet, and we like it that way. You will help write it, work directly with the leader building the team, and see the impact of your work early.
