Are you passionate about pattern design and motivated by bringing out the best in others? Do you enjoy taking the lead, driving projects forward and finding better ways of working, without losing touch with the craft you love?
Whether you're an experienced manager or looking to take your first step into leadership, at SELECTED you'll have the opportunity to lead a team of pattern designers and fitting assistants across menswear and womenswear while staying hands-on with pattern development.
YOUR TEAM
You'll become part of SELECTED's creative environment, where pattern design plays an important role in bringing our collections to life.
Working closely with colleagues in Design and Buying, you and your team will turn design ideas into well-constructed garments, finding the right balance between creative intentions, fit, quality and commercial considerations.
With responsibilities spanning both menswear and womenswear, you'll work with different perspectives and priorities, helping create a shared approach and strong collaboration across the two areas.
YOUR ROLE
You'll take responsibility for the team's performance and development while continuing to work hands-on with pattern development within your own product category.
Beyond the day-to-day leadership, you'll drive projects, bring structure to shared priorities and help develop the technical standards and processes behind our collections. Your experience will be important in guiding decisions, solving technical challenges and ensuring progress across menswear and womenswear.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading and developing a team of pattern designers and fitting assistants, supporting their individual growth and performance.
Taking hands-on responsibility for pattern development within your own product category, including fittings and technical adjustments.
Driving projects and coordinating priorities across menswear and womenswear.
Developing pattern design processes and technical standards to improve fit, construction and consistency.
Working closely with Design and Buying to find solutions that meet both creative and commercial needs.
Exploring and implementing digital pattern-making and 3D development tools where they can improve our work.
YOUR BENEFITS
At SELECTED, you'll be part of an international fashion business with high ambitions and a genuine interest in doing things better. We work across disciplines, challenge each other's thinking and believe that good ideas can come from anywhere. It's an environment where you're encouraged to contribute your perspective and make your experience count.
We also recognise that doing great work doesn't mean working the same way every day. You'll have flexibility in planning your work and the opportunity to work from home when your responsibilities allow it, balancing time with your colleagues and the freedom to organise your own day.
YOUR PROFILE
You know your craft and enjoy using your experience to make others better. You're comfortable taking responsibility, bringing structure to projects and making decisions, even when different perspectives and priorities need to be considered.
For us, your ability and motivation to lead matter more than whether you've held a management title before. You might already have experience managing a team, or you might be an experienced specialist ready to take on your first formal leadership role. What matters is that you can provide clear direction, involve others and create an environment where people can develop and deliver strong results together.
We imagine that you bring:
Solid experience in pattern design and garment construction within the fashion industry, including a strong understanding of fit, silhouettes and technical garment development.
The ability to plan, coordinate and drive projects involving different stakeholders.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to navigate different perspectives and priorities.
A structured approach to your work and an interest in improving existing methods.
An interest in digital pattern-making and 3D garment development.
WE LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU
