Using jajob: where to find what

A short guide to the main pages and buttons on jajob, for job seekers and employers.

How to apply for a job

  1. Open a job and press Apply. You need an account with a verified email address.
  2. Add a short cover note if you like (optional).
  3. Answer the employer's screening questions, if there are any. Required questions must be answered before you can send.
  4. Once sent, the button shows Applied.

Jobs imported from other sites show Apply via … or Apply on company site instead, which opens the original site.

Follow your applications on your Overview (/en/me). Each application has a status: Received, Viewed, Shortlisted, Interview, Offer, Hired, Rejected or Withdrawn. Every application has its own chat with the employer, and you can Withdraw it at any time.

Your profile and CV

Your profile is at /en/me/profile, with the sections About you, Work profile, Links, Can employers find you? and Who sees what. Press Save profile when you are done.

Skills are not typed in by hand. Use Fill in skills from your CV (AI): paste the text of your CV, press Suggest skills and choose which skills to keep. There is no CV file upload.

Being visible to employers

Your profile is hidden by default. On /en/me/profile, under Can employers find you?, choose Visible to employers (recommended) or Hidden. The Overview also has a Let employers find me shortcut.

A visible profile stays listed for about 6 months; logging in, editing your profile or applying extends it. 30 days before the end a banner offers Keep for 6 more months. Under Who sees what you choose who sees your basics, summary, name and contacts. By default your name and contacts are shown only after you apply or accept an invite.

Saved jobs, following companies and job alerts

  • Press the heart (Save job) on a job. Your saved jobs are at /en/me/saved.
  • Press Follow on a company page. Companies you follow are at /en/me/following.
  • On the search page, press Save this search (shown when you have typed a search or set a filter). On a job page, press Notify me about similar jobs.

Alerts arrive as notifications inside jajob. On the Overview you can set each alert to instant, daily or weekly, pause or resume it, or delete it.

Adding your company with CVR

Go to /en/employer/companies/new and enter the CVR number (8 digits) and Company name. The company register is looked up as you type. If it is slow, type the name yourself and press Create; the details are filled in later.

If your company is already on jajob, press Claim company. It is approved at once if your confirmed email is on the company's domain, otherwise checked by hand. Invite team members by email as owner, recruiter or viewer.

Posting a vacancy

Go to /en/employer/vacancies/new or press Post a vacancy (on the dashboard the button is + Vacancy). The form has sections; fields marked * are required:

  • The job: Job title *, Category, Description * (a structure template can be inserted).
  • Terms: Working time * and Type of employment *, hours per week, number of positions, start.
  • Salary and benefits: Salary from, DKK * and salary to, per month, year or hour. Salary is required on jajob: a range or a fixed amount, before tax. Add the benefits you offer.
  • Workplace: where the work is done (on-site, hybrid or remote) and the Workplace address, chosen from suggestions from the Danish address register. Not needed for fully remote jobs.
  • Languages: the Danish requirement (not needed, preferred or required) and the languages used at work. Be honest: many candidates on jajob work in English.
  • Application: application deadline, whether a cover letter is wanted, and a contact person.
  • Hiring process (optional): screening questions (one per line, each becomes required for applicants), interview scorecard criteria rated 1–4, the expected process and a response commitment in days.

Press Publish job: the job appears in the catalogue right away. Mistakes are shown next to the field they belong to.

The edit page uses the same form. There you can also get suggestions with What to improve (AI) or press Close vacancy. A closed ad can be reopened as long as your plan's limit of active job ads allows it.

Applicants and pipeline

A vacancy's pipeline shows all its applications. Change status one by one or for several at once. Per application: AI review, scorecard, schedule an interview, offer and chat. People make the decisions: the AI never rejects candidates.

Plans and prices

  • Free: 0 DKK, up to 2 active job ads.
  • Pro: 795 DKK/month, up to 20 active job ads.
  • Business: 1,995 DKK/month, unlimited active job ads plus the CV database. There you find candidates who chose to be visible and can invite up to 100 a month.

Prices exclude 25% Danish VAT, which is added at checkout. Payments go through Stripe, on the Billing page (/en/employer/billing). Only owners can change the plan.

Founding employers: the first 50 companies whose CVR number is found in the Danish company register get Pro free for 6 months, one grant per CVR number. Afterwards the company moves to Free with no automatic payment, and active job ads are not closed.

Sign-in and security

Sign in with email and password; use Forgot password? if needed. On a new device, or if you use an authenticator app, you may be asked for a code as a second step; tick Trust this device for 30 days to skip it next time on that device.

The Sign-in and security page (/en/account/security) lets you set up an authenticator app with backup codes, change your password, see and remove trusted devices, and sign out everywhere.

Getting help

  • Help pages: /en/help.
  • The assistant: press Ask AI in the header.
  • Support: use Report a problem or Suggest an idea in the footer, My requests in your dashboard menu (/en/support), or the Report this problem button on error pages.

Choose the type: something is broken, idea or wish, or question. You can attach a screenshot (PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF, up to 3 MB). We attach the page address, language, browser and screen size. Guests can write too (email required) and get a private link to follow the answer.

Requests have the statuses Open, In progress, Answered and Closed. If you reply to a closed request, it opens again.

Or write to support, and we will answer
