Senior RF Engineer

Due to increasing demand for our products, we are looking for a new colleague for a position as Senior RF Engineer to strengthen our Antenna group. Our antennas are designed, tested and produced in-house at our headquarter in Allerød. The active antenna arrays contain both RF, analog, power and digital control electronics, giving you an opportunity to work closely together with colleagues who have a different field of expertise than yourself.

Continuing a legacy of extremely high accuracy with a new generation of solutions

You will be part of the team that designs and verifies the microwave components going into our instrumentation and tracking radars. The group designs almost all electronic elements of the radar antennas including antenna elements, mixers, LNAs, HPAs, PSUs and digital circuits. We play a key role in our certification activities and support the production team with module testing, system verification, and debugging.

In this role, you will work with system-level debugging and testing—both internally and as part of our certification processes—while also contributing to design tasks in our ongoing roadmap projects.

Your main responsibility includes the following tasks:

• Drive the design of various microwave PCBs and modules
• Test and verify performance of the developed solutions – both on board level and module level.
• Work closely with system engineering and subsystem architects to align module requirements
• Drive needed documentation like requirements, design specifications, test specifications and production documentation.
• Work closely with NPI team in developing efficient test solutions.
• Collaborate with your engineering colleagues to find the best cross-functional solution

Other responsibilities and tasks will be:

• Take part in the development of our next generation radar platform architecture
• Support system-level debugging, troubleshooting and integration.
• Include compliance requirements in designs and support compliance team

About you

We are looking for an experienced colleague and ideally +10 years of experience from a similar role. You can quickly get up to speed with ongoing design, debugging, and compliance tasks while building an understanding of the design trade-offs relevant to radar systems. Hands-on experience with debugging in a live environment is a strong advantage. The role requires a detail-oriented and structured approach, combined with the ability to maintain an overall view of the system and meet project deadlines.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• A university degree in electrical engineering with focus on RF
• +10 years’ experience in advanced RF designs.
• Experience with design of microwave circuits and debugging
• Experience with microwave measuring instruments such as VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators
• Experience with HPA and LNA design
• System-level understanding of radar architecture
• Knowledge of electromagnetic theory and free space waves

Your new team

The Antenna group consists of more than 50 engineers ranging from few years to 30+ years of experience - of these 18 engineers make the Microwave team. The Antenna group is cross functional engineering team with analogue and digital electronics, RF or microwave electronics and mechanical engineering – all skills to deliver a full functional Antenna.
