Your role and opportunity

As a Project Management Intern, you’ll support the coordination of our Project Management student assistant team and contribute to day-to-day project activities. You’ll work with experienced colleagues and gain insight into how project teams operate in a CDMO environment.

The role combines team coordination, administrative and operational support, and a defined project or workstream. You’ll receive structured onboarding, guidance from a designated manager and opportunities to learn from Project Managers. Your responsibilities will develop as you gain experience and understand the team’s processes.

What you’ll do

Student team coordination

  • Help coordinate the work of the Project Management student assistant team, which includes approximately eight students.
  • Support task visibility and follow up on agreed updates, availability and actions.
  • Help facilitate student team meetings and maintain the team’s task overview.
  • Flag blockers or missed updates to the appropriate manager or Project Assistant.

Project and operational support

  • Support Project Managers with administrative and coordination activities.
  • Help report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and support the uploading and tracking of Project Change Orders, working with relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the coordination of shipments, including associated deviation documentation for products in quarantine, in line with applicable procedures and under appropriate guidance.
  • Follow up on stability protocols and help ensure reports are delivered to customers.
  • Upload and update key project milestones.
  • Contribute to other departmental activities, such as meeting minutes, records management or Project Improvement Plans, as appropriate.

Customer and project experience

  • When trained and authorised, support customer visits, including accompanying customers during approved tours of the production facility.
  • Take ownership of a defined departmental project or workstream, with an agreed scope, milestones and a designated contact for guidance.

What you’ll learn

During the internship, you’ll have the opportunity to develop practical skills in:

  • Team coordination and professional communication.
  • Meeting preparation, facilitation and action tracking.
  • Project documentation, prioritisation and follow-up.
  • Relevant department tools and processes.
  • Cross-functional collaboration and customer-focused work.
  • Project delivery through a defined piece of work.

Regular check-ins will provide an opportunity to discuss your progress, workload, feedback and learning goals.

Who we’re looking for

You’re currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Design, Bio-entrepreneurship or a related field. You’re interested in project management and motivated to contribute in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Service-oriented: You care about providing a positive experience for customers and colleagues.
  • Adaptable and proactive: You respond constructively to changing priorities, ask questions and take initiative.
  • Organised and reliable: You can keep track of actions, follow through and raise issues when something is unclear.
  • A clear communicator: You communicate professionally in English and work well with people in different roles and teams.
  • Professional and collaborative: You bring a positive attitude, respect internal procedures and are comfortable learning with support.

Practical details

  • Type: Paid internship
  • Duration: Six months
  • Working hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week, with some flexibility

If you’re ready to challenge yourself, learn from experienced colleagues and contribute to work that supports a meaningful mission, we’d love to hear from you.
