Senior External Communications Partner

We are looking for an experienced communications professional to strengthen and elevate 3Shape's external corporate communications.

In this role, you will help shape and communicate the stories that strengthen 3Shape's reputation, visibility, credibility, and employer brand among key external stakeholders. You will work closely with senior leaders and subject-matter experts to translate business priorities, innovation, strategic initiatives, and leadership perspectives into compelling corporate narratives and communication activities across external channels.

As part of a small, high-impact Corporate Communications team, you will also support leadership communications, organizational change communications, and strategic communication projects, contributing both strategically and hands-on across the full communication spectrum when needed.

Key Responsibilities

As 3Shape's new Senior External Communications Partner, you will drive communication activities that strengthen our reputation, visibility, and external positioning. Working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders across the business, you will help shape compelling corporate narratives and deliver communication that supports our strategic objectives.

Among other things, your responsibilities will be:

• Develop and execute communication plans that strengthen 3Shape's reputation and corporate positioning

• Partner with senior leaders on executive messaging, thought leadership, presentations, articles, interviews, and talking points

• Develop media materials, corporate announcements, key messages, and other external communication assets

• Lead and support strategic communication projects, including organizational changes and business transformations

• Advise leaders and stakeholders on communication strategies, messaging, and reputation-related activities

• Ensure consistency across external communications, leadership communications, social media, and employer branding activities

• Support reputation management by identifying communication opportunities and potential risks

Profile & Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of experience in corporate communications, external communications, or related fields, ideally in a global organization

• Strong experience in corporate reputation, strategic storytelling, executive communications, and external positioning

• Excellent English writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear and compelling communication

• Experience developing communication strategies and content across traditional, digital, and social channels

• Strong business acumen and judgement, with the ability to balance stakeholder and reputation considerations

• Strong understanding of digital communications, social media platforms, channel strategy, audience insights, and analytics

• Digitally savvy with strong AI literacy and experience leveraging new technologies to enhance communication effectiveness, engagement, and reach

• Strong stakeholder management and advisory skills, including experience collaborating with senior leaders and cross-functional teams

• Understanding of media relations, thought leadership, and employer branding, combined with a proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to thrive in a small, high-performing team
