Your future team
Commercial Excellence at ROCKWOOL is a unified commercial function focused on improving how we create revenue. The team operates across three specialised areas: Demand & Pipeline, which creates qualified opportunities; Sales Excellence, which converts them into revenue; and Commercial Performance & AI, which improves performance across the entire commercial funnel.
As Commercial AI Lead, you will join the Commercial Performance & AI team and report to Milad Saleh, Manager, Commercial Performance & AI. You will work closely with colleagues across commercial, data science and digital teams, as well as external vendors, to turn AI capabilities into practical solutions that deliver measurable business results.
This is an opportunity to combine strategic thinking with hands-on experimentation, taking AI initiatives from initial ideas and prototypes through to adoption and measurable commercial impact across markets in Europe, North America and Asia.
What you will be doing
As Commercial AI Lead, you will own our commercial AI roadmap and drive high-impact initiatives that increase sales and revenue across the full funnel, from customer specification and opportunity identification to pipeline conversion and revenue growth.
- Own the commercial AI roadmap: Identify and prioritise AI opportunities with the greatest revenue potential. Develop business cases, manage project delivery and ensure alignment with commercial priorities.
- Build and test AI solutions: Design and prototype AI tools and automation using the latest technologies and approaches. Stay up to date with AI developments and translate them into practical commercial applications, collaborating with data science and digital teams to take solutions from proof of concept to scale.
- Drive adoption and revenue impact: Work directly with sales and marketing teams to embed AI into their workflows. Measure and communicate business value through revenue uplift, improved conversion, faster pipeline progression and increased sales productivity.
- Raise commercial AI capability: Help sales and marketing teams understand and unlock AI’s potential by building confidence, encouraging experimentation and scaling successful approaches. You create momentum and enable teams to become more self-sufficient.
- Collaborate across functions: Act as the bridge between commercial teams, data science, digital teams and vendors. Connect business needs with technical capabilities to ensure commercial priorities guide decisions.
What you bring
You combine strong AI expertise with project leadership and commercial understanding. You know how to translate emerging technologies into practical solutions that solve real business challenges and deliver measurable results.
Your key qualifications and capabilities include:
- AI project leadership: You can define project scope, develop business cases, manage timelines and deliver AI initiatives. You structure complex projects and see them through from concept to adoption.
- Advanced AI knowledge and application: You have hands-on, up-to-date expertise in AI technologies such as large language models (LLMs), automation, predictive analytics and AI agents. You have a proven track record of applying AI to deliver measurable business impact and can translate the latest developments into practical applications.
- Proven AI and automation delivery: You have successfully built, launched or delivered AI and automation initiatives with measurable results. You can manage projects from concept through adoption and build business cases that justify investment.
- Hands-on AI experimentation: You rapidly experiment, test and build AI prototypes in approved sandbox and non-production environments, using low-code/no-code tools and working closely with technical teams. You move fast, learn continuously and know when a prototype is ready to hand over for enterprise development.
- Commercial understanding: You understand how businesses operate, what drives revenue and performance, and where AI creates genuine value rather than hype. A sales background is not essential, but you need to think commercially and focus on business impact.
- Data-driven and pragmatic: You measure impact rigorously, communicate value clearly and prioritise results over perfection. You think strategically about where AI can make the biggest difference.
- Cross-functional collaboration: You work effectively with business teams, data science, digital teams and vendors. You can translate between technical and business languages and bring people together around shared goals.
What we offer
As Commercial AI Lead, you will have the opportunity to lead a strategic transformation that directly increases ROCKWOOL’s sales and revenue. You will work on high-impact AI initiatives that move beyond theoretical exercises, progressing from proof of concept to adoption and measurable revenue gains.
You can expect to:
- Shape commercial AI strategy: Own the roadmap and influence how AI is used to drive commercial performance across the business.
- Deliver visible business impact: Lead meaningful projects with clear business cases and measurable results.
- Work across global markets: Collaborate with teams across Europe, North America and Asia, gaining exposure to different markets and commercial challenges.
- Combine strategy with experimentation: Have the opportunity to identify opportunities, build and test solutions, and drive their implementation.
- Make a difference: Join a company committed to sustainability, diversity and creating a positive impact through its products and operations.
- Develop your talents: We are keen to help our employees develop their capabilities and progress in their careers, supporting their professional ambitions and continued growth.
